Having grown up in South China, I have developed a profound appreciation and understanding of the region's unique lifestyle and folklore. This cultural background has inspired me to create art that captures the essence of everyday life in Southern China, reminiscent of the captivating scenes in Wong Kar-Wai's films. In my work, I aim to bring to life a traditional character who roams the streets and back alleys, embodying the vibrancy and richness of Southern Chinese culture. She wears colorful, memorable garments that reflect the region's distinctive style and evoke a sense of nostalgia for a bygone era.
